Cremonese are back at home this weekend as they come in search of their second win in Serie A this season with Fiorentina heading to the Giovanni Zini Stadium after another win in the Europa Conference League and within touching distance of the top 10.
As has been the norm for the club all season long, Cremonese lost once again last time out with a defeat to Sassuolo keeping them in 18th. They did score twice, however, with Cyriel Dessers netting two goals before a 92nd-minute winner from Sassuolo.
It means their victory over Roma is the club’s only win this season in Serie A, although they are into the Coppa Italia semi-finals where they will face this weekend’s opposition, Fiorentina.
As for the Florence side, Antonin Barak was once again the hero in the midweek Europa Conference League clash with Sivasspor.
Fiorentina remain in 12th, however, despite a fantastic 2-1 win over AC Milan last weekend and a 3-0 victory away against Hellas Verona before that. Luka Jovic and Nicolas Gonzalez netted another goal each against Milan.
This game is set to give us a slight insight into the two-legged Coppa Italia semi-finals in April, but in Serie A, it’s tough to see how Cremonese win a game.
