The winless Cremonese are back in action this weekend to meet with Inter Milan in Serie A after the San Siro side were beaten at home by Empoli in a stunning loss while Cremonese racked up just another point last weekend.
Cremonese’s winless run in Serie A was a record in itself many weeks back. Now, it is simply embarrassing. 19 games have now gone by in Serie A without a victory for the club and with a gap of nine points to make up on the safe spots of the league, they seem destined for relegation already.
Quite incredibly, however, Cremonese managed to beat the seemingly unstoppable Napoli in the Coppa Italia two weeks back on penalties. It was a weakened Napoli side, and Cremonese still couldn’t win in 90 minutes.
As for Inter, they were stunned themselves by Empoli at the San Siro just five days ago. Simeone Inzaghi’s men are now going to be without Milan Skriniar too, as he was sent off in that loss.
Inter have now moved back into fourth, but they will be confident in getting back into the Champions League after Juventus’s 15-point deduction.
