Match preview

A huge game takes place at the Giovanni Zini Stadium this Saturday afternoon with Cremonese set to play host to Lecce with the home side still in search of their first win of the Serie A season as the away outfit look to stay above the drop zone.

Lecce have turned their form around in the past few months and now sit 15th and above the drop zone by seven points. However, should they lose here to the winless Cremonese, they could be sucked right back into trouble.

Lecce have won the fewest games outside of the drop zone in Serie A and with just 19 goals from 24 games, the club also head into this one with the fewest goals scored after 17th-placed Spezia for those sitting above the bottom three.

Worse yet, Marco Baroni’s side have lost their last two games by falling to a 2-1 loss at home to Salernitana and even losing to Hellas Verona in 18th 2-0.

Cremonese still can’t win in Serie A. They are in last place and should they fail to win for the 21st game in a row in the league, there is very little to suggest they will eventually get out of the relegation zone and survive this season.
