Match Preview

Juventus are looking for win number three of the season and to stay unbeaten in the league when they meet with Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi Stadium this weekend after another win for the 2019/20 champions of Serie A in midweek.

Star striker, Dusan Vlahovic, was the hero once more for the Turin outfit on Wednesday after another stunning free kick was scored by him after doing so against Roma a week prior. Arkadiusz Milik would add a second for Juvetus in injury time, as the club eased past Spezia with a total of 15 shots in the game, but three with just three on target.

The result does keep Juventus unbeaten in Serie A, but with this ending a two-game winless run after two draws for the club, they will be confident in winning heere. Max Allegri’s men also met with Roma last weekend in a 1-1 draw that saw Vlahovic score another unstoppable free kick, although an equaliser by the Rome side soon ended the game in a 1-1 draw.

Allegri’s side also drew 0-0 with Sampdoria this season, which does mean they have had three clean sheets in the league already and let in just one goal in the draw with Roma in Turin. What’s more, Vlahovic is now on four goals from four games, with the striker netting twice in the 2-0 win against Sassuolo on the opening weekend where Angel Di Maria scored on his league debut.

Fiorentina are sitting in 11th right now and have now moved their winless run on the domestic front to three games after beating Cremonese on August 14th. A 0-0 draw with Empoli and another goalless encounter with Napoli mean they have only lost one game this season, however.

Fiorentina did also lose in midweek as they travelled and lost to Udinese 1-0, despite seeing more than 70% of the ball in the game. Vlahovic also returns to his old side here, and he will be ready to score once more.
