Juventus will be looking to bounce back from two draws on the spin when then play hosts to Spezia this Wednesday evening at the Juventus Stadium with the two clubs separated by just a point after three games in the league following on from a decent start to the Serie A season for Spezia.
The Old Lady have not been able to find their feet in Serie A so far, despite such a fantastic opening game against Sassuolo where Angel Di Maria scored in the 3-0 win on his debut for the club. Juventus then went on to draw 0-0 with Sampdoria in Serie A, where by having just four shots on target in the game, they struggled to get more than a point.
Max Allegri saw his side draw with Roma last time out in Turin, as Dusan Vlahovic’s stunning free kick was cancelled out by Tammy Abraham’s equaliser from close range. It now leaves Juventus with two draws and a win so far in the league, which keeps them adrift of champions AC Milan by two points early on.
Spezia bounced back from their 3-0 loss to Inter Milan two weeks back with a commendable 2-2 draw at home to Sassuolo. Although they should have got more out of the game, they did lead twice and also saw a red card for Albin Ekdal in the second half, as M’Bala Nzola scored again, with Simeone Bastoni netting the other.
A 1-0 win over Empoli on the opening day, courtesy of a goal from Nzola, keeps Spezia in 12th heading into this. However, it should be the game where Juventus return to the win column after a draw with Roma threw more questions the way of manager Allegri.
