Match preview

It’s Derby d’Italia time in Turin, with two of Italy’s biggest clubs going head-to-head for a place in the final.

Juventus have had a monopoly over this competition since 2015, reaching seven of eight finals, winning five of them.

Last May, I Bianconeri could not retain their trophy, beaten 4-2 by Inter after extra time, so will be seeking revenge.

Right now, having been hit with a 15-point deduction, Juventus are seventh in Serie A, but are remarkably just six points below fourth.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men made it three league wins in a row on Saturday night, with Moise Kean’s goal downing Hellas Verona.

La Vecchia Signora are also fighting in the Europa League, they’ll face Sporting in the last eight, so, despite all the off-field issues, this could still be a special season.

In stark contrast to their rivals, I Nerazzurri have lost three Serie A games in a row, beaten 1-0 by Fiorentina at the weekend, so are clinging onto third.

This streak includes a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Juve when the two met just 16 days ago at San Siro.

So, Juventus will fancy their chances of establishing a first leg lead at Allianz Stadium.
