Spezia will make the trip to Rome this weekend to meet with an in-form Lazio side who have suddenly rocketed up the league table and will come into this game off the back of two wins in a row in the league and a torrid display in Europe so far.
For all the glory Lazio have shown in Serie A this season, they come into this game with a 4-2 victory over Feyenoord and a stunning 5-1 loss to Midtjylland in the Europa League. On the other hand, as they bounced back with a fantastic 4-0 win ovwer Cremonese last time out, Maurizio Sarri still has a bit to shout about heading into this one.
The Rome outfit also claimed a 2-0 win over Hellas Verona the last time they were at the Stadio Olimpico, not long after Napoli beat them 2-1 in Rome. A 1-1 draw with Sampdoria, a 3-1 win over Inter Milan and a 0-0 draw with Torino mean 14 point on the board after an opening day win over Bologna too.
As for Spezia, they finally got win number two of the season last time out when they met with Sampdoria and claimed a 2-1 victory. This did come after a previous five-game winless run, as they lost to Inter 3-0, Juventus 2-0 and drew with Sassuolo and Bologna.
A narrow defeat to Napoli in Naples gave them a bit to shout about, but they still left the league leaders with no points. Lazio should, however, be looking at this one for an easy three points, and Sarri can potentially see his his side jump into second if other results go his way.
