Lazio will stay at the Stadio Olimpico for the third game running as they look to get back in the win column in Serie A after a damning loss to Napoli last weekend when they play hosts to Hellas Verona on Sunday.
The Rome side have only managed to win two games so far this campaign, as they hammered Inter Milan 3-1 in Serie A in one of the performances of the season. Another win came against Bologna as they managed to defeat them thanks to a winner from the irreplaceable Ciro Immobile.
Further draws with Torino and Sampdoria put Lazio way down in ninth. However, with just five games down and only one loss on their record, they are just a point behind both Inter Milan and Juventus, while they only sit two points off the Champions League spots.
As for Hellas Verona, they have finally started to put things right after a dismal start saw them lose the opening game of the season to Napoli 5-2. They also drew with Bologna in the league too, while snatching a point away to Empoli as well.
Verona did finally get their first win of the season over the weekend when they came from behind to beat the helpless Sampdoria. An own goal equalised for the club, as Josh Doig scored the winning goal deep into stoppage time of the first half.
Lazio will be hopeful to get back in the win column in Serie A, because despite the recent victory for Verona, they still look very weak defensively.
