Match Preview

Another Serie A weekend is upon us as Monza continue to look for their first-ever win in the Italian top flight with no points on the board after losing all five games ahead of the trip to Lecce.

Things haven’t been that much better for Lecce this season as well, as they have so far lost three and drawn only two games in the league. They did manage to get a great point away to Napoli not too long ago, as they managed to come from behind with a goal from Lorenzo Colombo to get just their second point of the season.

However, with a loss to Torino last time out and a defeat to Sassuolo just three weeks ago, they remain winless all season long in all competitions with Inter Milan beating them, while even Cittadella knocked them out of the Coppa Italia.

As for Monza, it’s been quite a stunning welcome for them into Serie A. So far, they seem to already have one foot back in Serie B after such a long wait to make it into the top flight. The club have conceded a terrible record of 13 goals already after five games, as they have also only scored two.

Atalanta and Roma have beaten them recently, with a 4-0 loss also coming against Napoli. In fact, in fairness to Monza, they have also faced off with Torino and Udinese in their five games this season, and all of these sides sit inside the top six right now.
