Ninth will meet with 13th in Serie A this Saturday night as Torino and Sassuolo class at the Olympic Grande Stadium in Turin with the home side looking to get back to winning ways with a few defeats creeping into their record.
It’s been another struggle so far for Sassuolo in Serie A, and it does look as if mid-table life is set to continue for them in this campaign. Last time out, they finished 11th in the league and with back-to-back eighth-placed finishes just prior to that, and with them finishing 11th in 2018/19 too, Sassuolo cannot seem to get themselves out of this mid-table dilemma.
They have, however, at least got a win on the board this season after Domenico Berardi scored one of the goals of the year against Lecce. Three consecutive draws against Spezia, AC Milan and Cremonese came shortly after that win, where the club let in two goals and scored the same amount.
Sassuolo would lose to Udinese last time out as well, and with Ruan Tressoldi getting sent off in that game, he is now going to miss this game. Davide Frattesi did score for his side that day, but with three late goals conceded, Sassuolo lost 3-1.
Torino have been quite topsy-turvy this season with the club coming off the back of a 1-0 loss to Inter Milan, not long after a 3-1 defeat to Atalanta. Ivan Juric’s men have still managed to defeat Lecce, Monza and Cremonese in the league this season, but all these sides are winless in Serie A, it’s not that impressive to get a win against them.
