Netherlands v Poland

Match Preview

The Netherlands open their Euro 2024 campaign against Poland tomorrow after a difficult week that has seen them lose two key midfielders.

Frenkie de Jong and Teun Koopmeiners will both miss the tournament due to injury, leaving Ronald Koeman’s men short in the centre of the field.

They do go into the game in Hamburg in decent form, though, having recorded back to back 4-0 wins against Canada and Iceland.

They will come up against a Poland side that came through the play-offs – edging out Wales – to secure their place in Germany.

The Poles also have injury problems with star man Robert Lewandowski unavailable due to a thigh injury sustained in the 2-1 win over Turkey on Monday.
