Match preview

The league leaders are back in action down in League Two as Leyton Orient clash with Crewe Alexandra off the back of an excellent winning run for the first-placed side just as Crewe now sit comfortably ahead of the relegation spots.

Crewe had a very tough start to the latest League Two season and found themselves winless after seven games. Now, however, the club are sitting 13 points clear of bottom-placed 24th in the League Two table and 10 points above the bottom four. Better yet, Crewe have managed to do all this by playing a game less and they can now move to 13 points clear of the relegation spots.

On the other hand, Crewe fell back into the losing column last time out with a defeat to Newport County at the Mornflake Stadium. They also lost to Barnsley in the FA Cup second round just prior to this, but beat playoff chasers Swindon Town before that.

As for Leyton Orient, they are still top of the table and they have been for practically the entire season so far. The club have won their last three games since a shocking defeat to Wimbledon, beating Harrogate Town, Stockport County and Bradford City ever since. On the other hand, Orient did actually lose to Crewe this time last month in the FA Cup first round.
