James ahead of schedule
The Evening Standard report that Reece James is now confident of making the World Cup with his recovery ahead of schedule.
The Chelsea defender is set to urge Southgate to select him even if he may miss the start of the tournament.
James flew to Dubai this week with a Chelsea coach to undergo rehab and the Blues have been giving the FA constant updates on his fitness.
It seems unlikely that James will be ready in time to face Iran, however, if the Three Lions were to advance, he stands a good chance of being available.
