The surprise package of the World Cup so far are back in action in the round of 16 as Morocco and Spain clash with the winner earning a spot in the last eight in Qatar following on from an unbeaten start to the World Cup from the Atlas Lions.
Morocco have stunned viewers so far this campaign after topping their group and sending Belgium home at the group stages. The African side defeated Belgium 2-0, drew with Croatia and eased past Canada 2-1 as well after going two goals up inside 23 minutes.
Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri scored in the last game against Canada, and the two wins and one draw mean Morocco joined England and the Netherlands as the only three sides to go through the group stages and not taste defeat.
As for Spain, it feels like forever since they managed to hammer Costa Rica with a record-breaking 7-0 scoreline. The 2010 winners of the World Cup battered Costa Rica with the likes of Gavi putting on a masterclass, but the country were quickly brought back down to earth with a draw against Germany and a loss to Japan.
In fact, it meant Spain finished second in their group and there was even a period where they were heading out after Costa Rica took the lead against Germany. Now, however, they are clear favourites to win this one, despite the impressive form of Morocco.
