Brazil have already made it into the World Cup round of 16 having won their opening two matches.

It wasn’t all plain sailing though for A Seleção who were left sweating over the fitness of Neymar.

The PSG forward was forced off in their opening game with a nasty ankle injury, however, the latest news is good news…

Neymar to return in Round of 16

Brazil will decide on Neymar’s return in the Round of 16 after Friday’s game against Cameroon, according to Jornal O Globo.

The forward has been working on his own in the pool and has made good progress to return to training with the team.

He will be reassessed on Saturday and if he returns to training, he will be able to start in the Round of 16.

Cleber told the media: “The players are in the process of recovery. Neymar and Alex Sandro are in the pool, and Danilo is on the pitch.

“After the Cameroon game, we will make decisions on them.

“The medical department have already drawn up a schedule.”

Brazil will face the runners-up in Group H on Monday, which is likely to be either Ghana or Uruguay.
