Augsburg and Hoffenheim will kick off a weekend of Bundesliga action this Friday night as the home side aim to jump further away from the relegation zone than they have been at any stage this season with them now two clear of the away outfit.
Since action resumed in Germany, Augsburg have greatly improved their form and managed to jump well out of the relegation zone for the first time in many gameweeks. They did, however, lose 3-1 to Mainz last time out in the league.
Just prior to this, Enrico Maaßen’s men edged past Bayer Leverkusen at the Augsburg Arena as Margim Berisha’s second half goal stole all three points.
Augsburg lost to Freiburg just prior to this, but they did also narrowly beat Borussia Monchengladbach just prior to that loss thanks to another goal from Berisha in the second 45.
As for Hoffenheim, they are currently in their worst run of form and their loss to Leverkusen last weekend means they have now let in 20 goals in the six games since the World Cup, as RB Leipzig also knocked them out of the DFB-Pokal.
