Match preview
A Bristol City outfit in the midst of a stellar stretch of form are set to act as hosts in a Championship meeting with Hull City on Saturday, February 25th.
Bristol, for several months now, have gone about establishing themselves as an altogether tough nut to crack.
All told, dating back to late December, Nigel Pearson’s troops have embarked on an 11-game unbeaten streak, to surge clear of the battle against relegation from England’s 2nd tier.
This stretch includes, most notably, a three-goal drubbing of West Bromwich Albion, four-goal haul against Birmingham City, and, most recently, three wins from five across all competitions.
Such fine form has seen Pearson and co. climb to 15th in the Championship standings, just four points off a spot in the top half.

Should Saturday’s hosts ultimately go on to emerge from the action at Ashton Gate on the right side of the result, they will also leapfrog their upcoming opponents in the table.
This comes with Hull, over the last couple of weeks, having found results more difficult to come by.
The Tigers actually appeared to have turned a corner earlier this month, in adding to a three-goal downing of Queens Park Rangers courtesy of a 2nd win on the spin, on this occasion over Cardiff City.
Since, however, Liam Rosenior’s side have notched just two points from an available nine.
Either side of a defeat at the hands of Norwich City, Hull have been held to goalless draws by both Stoke City and Preston North End.
The club’s unlikely push towards the promotion playoff picture, in turn, was stopped in its tracks.
Instead, the Tigers now sit 13th, no doubt desperate to secure a return to winning ways this weekend.
We at 101, however, view as much as frankly unlikely, instead backing either a sharing of the spoils, or victory on the part of hosts Bristol City.
