Match preview
A Sheffield United outfit who finally managed to get things back on track at the weekend are set to make the trip to Ashton Gate on Tuesday, November 1st, with sights set on a 2nd win on the bounce.
The Blades, of course, have proven one of the more bizarre cases of the Championship season to date.
Viewed amongst the favourites for promotion ahead of the term getting underway, Paul Heckingbottom’s troops embarked on a stellar stretch of form prior to the international break, showcasing their credentials in taking an early lead atop the table.
Their subsequent return to action at the beginning of October, however, was followed by a staggering drop off in form.
It therefore no doubt came as a relief for all associated with the club when, last time out, the Blades managed to put a stop to their free fall down the table in England’s 2nd tier.
A trip to the Hawthorns to take on relegation-battling West Bromwich Albion ultimately gave rise to a 2-0 triumph, courtesy of goals from Iliman Ndiaye and Oli McBurnie.
Tuesday’s visitors, as a result, have climbed back up to 4th, whilst boasting a game in hand on two of the three sides above them in the table.

Safe to say, then, that Sheffield United will be hopeful of building on their timely return to winning ways at Ashton Gate.
Standing in the way of Heckingbottom and co, though, are set to be a Bristol City side in the thick of a frustratingly patchy recent spell of form.
The Robins battled to a credible point at home to Swansea City at the weekend, after Tommy Conway’s first-half opener was cancelled out late on by Olivier Ntcham.
This result brought to an end a remarkably hit-and-miss run of loss, win, loss, win, loss over the course of the club’s prior five outings.
Bristol, in turn, sit in what, on the face it, looks a comfortable spot in 14th in the Championship table.
Upon closer inspection, though, in fact, Nigel Pearson’s men are hovering in a precarious position just five points clear of the relegation zone, whilst having played a game more than almost all of the sides around them.
We at 101 are therefore backing Sheffield United to ultimately emerge on the right side of a hard-fought contest at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night.
