Aston Villa boss Unai Emery does not come into Friday night’s clash without many new selection issues ahead of Leeds United’s visit to Villa Park but has been stripped of Belgian international midfielder Leander Dendoncker after his red card against Stevenage in Villa’s shock FA Cup loss.
Emery is still unable to call upon the services of club summer signing Diego Carlos while also being denied of key central figure John McGinnin equal measure. Swedish defender Ludwig Augustinsson and Polish international right-back Matty Cash are the other two possible absentees in question, and the pair face late assessments that, if passed, could see them included in the matchday squad.
