The third round of the FA Cup is well underway and Friday night serves up a star-studded, top-flight clash between Aston Villa and West Ham.

Graham Potter was announced as the new Hammers boss on Thursday and will get his first taste of life as head coach in a tricky matchup.

Villa will be keen to advance and take a step towards ending their trophy drought, despite still being in the Champions League.

Both teams are likely to rotate ahead of a busy midweek of Premier League action, but don’t be surprised to see some big stars still starting.

Aston Villa line-up

Unai Emery has gone for a strong core of players.

Robin Olsen is in goal, with Matty Cash, Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa and Ian Maatsen at the back.

Boubacar Kamara, Ross Barkley and Youri Tielemans make up a midfield three.

Morgan Rogers and Leon Bailey form part of the attack.

And Ollie Watkins is the leading striker.

West Ham line-up

Potter has made a few tweaks in his first official starting XI.

Lukasz Fabianski is in goal and a backline is formed of  Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Max Kilman and Oliver Searles.

Edson Alvarez and Tomas Soucek will hold in midfield.

Lucas Paqueta will sit in front, with Crysensio Summerville and Mohammed Kudus either side of him.
