Harry Kane continued his fine form in front of goal this season with his penalty proving the difference as Bayern Munich ran out 1-0 winners against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Kane brought his goal tally in the league this season to 15 as he dispatched the spot-kick that ensured Bayern extended their lead at the top of the table to four points.
The goal was the first Kane has scored in the league since his hattrick against FC Augsburg in November
The result follows Bayern’s 5-1 win over RB Leipzig prior to the winter break, and means the league leaders begin 2025 with a victory.
