Harry Kane says that a return to the Premier League could be in his future, even though he plans to stay with Bayern Munich for a long time.

Since joining Bayern from Tottenham last summer in a record-breaking £100 million transfer, Kane has yet to secure a trophy in Germany but has shown impressive form in front of goal.

Last season, he scored 44 goals in 45 matches across all competitions, earning him a shared Gerd Muller Trophy with Kylian Mbappe at the recent Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Speaking to The Sun at the event in Paris, Kane said: “I’m really enjoying it [at Bayern].

“I have a good teacher at Bayern. For me it is difficult but hopefully I will be there for many years and at some stage will be able to talk a bit of German.”

When asked about a possible return to England’s top league, the 31-year-old left the door open, saying: “Maybe one day.”

During his time with Tottenham, Kane scored 213 goals, placing him just behind Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals.

At his Bayern unveiling last summer, Kane acknowledged Shearer’s record, hinting that a return to England could one day allow him to chase that milestone.

Reflecting on his departure from Tottenham, Kane said: “It’s always going to be a tough decision. I was at Tottenham for 19 years of my life, so everyone knows the club is connected with me and my heart.

“But ultimately, I’m a professional, and I’ve always pushed myself to my limits, and I just felt like the time was right.

“I needed to be playing at the highest level, in the Champions League, trying to win titles every year.”

“When I thought about it and Bayern got in touch, it was a decision I wanted to make.

“People will talk about the record and Shearer, but I’ve got plenty of football left in my career.

“For now, it’s about trying to achieve things here and trying to push myself and the team to try and reach new levels with this club. That’s all my focus is on right now.”
