Paris Saint-Germain took full command of their Champions League knockout play-off tie against Brest with a 3-0 away win in the first leg.
Ousmane Dembele continued his sensational form with two goals as he found the net for the 10th straight game, after Vitinha opened the scoring from the penalty spot as the Ligue champions put one foot in the last 16 against their French rivals.
Brest, overwhelming underdogs in the tie despite an impressive showing in the league phase in their first Champions League appearance, started strongly but were pegged back when Pierre Lees-Melou handled in the box.
Former Wolves loanee Vitinha made no mistake from the spot and despite the hosts continue to push for an equaliser, hitting the post twice through Abdallah Sima and PSG right-back Acrhaf
But Dembele’s incisive finish on the stroke of half-time put PSG in control, as Brest failed to close the French forward down, allowing him to lash home the finish.
The former Barcelona winger then had his second just after the hour mark when he bulldozed his way through the Brest defence before finding the net via a deflection.
PSG showed a vast improvement on their form in the league phase of the competition, which saw them close to going out before wins over Manchester City and Stuttgart.
