Two European heavyweights and Champions League contenders clash tonight as Bayern Munich visit Barcelona.
Vincent Kompany has so far justified his surprise appointment as Bayern boss by guiding his side to the top of the Bundesliga and they looked in ominous form in the weekend 4-0 thrashing of Stuttgart with England captain Harry Kane netting another hat-trick.
For Barca, the clash sees a couple of notable reunions.
Coach Hansi Flick coached Bayern for 20 months, from November 2019 to June 2021, during which time they won seven trophies, including a domestic and continental treble, and lost just seven games in all competitions.
A key component of that side was Poland striker Robert Lewandowski before he joined Barca in 2022.
Lewandowski scored twice as Flick’s men beat Sevilla 5-1 on Sunday.
