Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City approach tonight’s game knowing there is little margin for error if they want to reach the Champions League knockout stages.

PSG come into the clash in 26th place, a point outside the playoff spots with City in 24th.

Neither would have envisaged this at the start of the season given the amount of investment ploughed into each squad.

PSG are arguably in greater need given their last group game is away at Stuttgart while City host Club Brugge.
