Arsenal

Arsenal could do with a win in Lisbon tonight to enhance their chances of a top-eight finish in the revamped Champions League table and an automatic route through to the last 16.

Mikel Arteta’s men were beaten 1-0 at Inter in their last European outing and start Matchday Five in 12th position. They did, at least, end a disappointing domestic run at the weekend with a 3-0 defeat of Nottingham Forest.

Sporting CP are starting life without Ruben Amorim, who has taken up his new role at Manchester United.

New boss Joao Pereira got his reign off to a winning start on Friday night, though, as his team swept past Amarante in the Taca de Portugal.
