Three days after being humiliated in their own stadium by Tottenham, Manchester City are back in action at the Etihad.

This time, they welcome Feyenoord in the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be bidding to end a five-game losing run in front of their home crowd, but it will not be easy.

Arne Slot’s former side will test City on the same week they travel to Anfield to face the new Liverpool boss.

There is still no Kevin De Bruyne in the starting XI for City, but Guardiola has made some changes.

Ederson remains in goal and Josko Gvardiol, Manuel Akanji and Rico Lewis all retain their place, with Nathan Ake coming in for John Stones.

Bernardo Silva captains the side from midfield, he lines up alongside Ilkay Gundogan and Matheus Nunes.

Jack Grealish and Phil Foden will occupy the wings.

And Erling Haaland leads the line, looking to bounce back from a goalless outing against Spurs.

Feyenoord team news

Feyenoord have matched their opponents’ 4-3-3 formation in Manchester.

Timon Wellenreuther is in goal for the Dutch side, with Bart Nieuwkoop, Gernot Trauner, David Hancko and Gijs Smal in defence.

In-Beom Hwang Quinten Timber – brother of Arsenal’s Jurrien – and Antoni Milambo line-up as a midfield three.

Anis Hadj Moussa and  Igor Paixao will hold the width.

And Julian Carranza is deployed as the lone striker.
