Raphinha playing football for Barcelona

Raphinha stepped up to provide a crucial moment in Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final clash against Borussia Dortmund.

The Blaugrana stepped onto the front foot immediately as they looked to assert their dominance in the first leg of the tie.

And a few early efforts tested Gregor Kobel in goal but in the 25th minute he was pulling the ball out of the net.

A free kick for the hosts was swung into the box by Fermin Lopez but it was only cleared as far as Pau Cubarsi.

The defender twisted and turned in the box before firing the ball across goal.

Kobel got a hand to the ball and it looked like it would still fall into the net but Raphinha was on hand to make sure the ball hit the net.

There was a brief check for offside as the Brazilian stretched to touch the ball over the line and the whole stadium breathed a sigh of relief when the goal was confirmed.
