Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca says he hopes his players can carry their Europa Conference League mentality into the Premier League.
The Blues won again under their new head coach, beating Heidenheim 2-0 away from home.
Christopher Nkunku and Mykhaylo Mudryk were the goalscorers as the West London side kept their spot at the top of the standings.
There was heavy rotation in the side as there usually is on a Thursday night, but Maresca insists his players are ready at all times.
And if they are to compete in England’s top flight, they are going to have to channel the same energy into their games at the weekend.
Speaking in his press conference after the game, Maresca said: “It was a very good challenge for all the aspects. Heidenheim were high pressing, intense, but no matter what they do, it’s important we are ready.

“It’s important to continue with that mentality.
“They [the players] are ready and it’s important. Filip [Jorgensen] did a very good game, Christopher [Nkunku] the same.
“We have nine or 10 games in December so they are going to get more chances. They need to be ready.”
