Two-time Europa League winners Porto will face 2023 champions Roma in the pick of the ties for the knockout play-off round.

Both sides have lifted the trophy in recent memory but one team will be heading out early after being drawn to face each other in the two-legged tie.

Ajax will take on near neighbours Union SG of Belgium, while Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce – who snuck into the play-offs by finishing 24th in the league table – will take on Anderlecht.

The ties will take place in the weeks of 13 February and 20 February.

No British sides were in the draw, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Rangers already through to the round of 16.

United will play the winners of AZ Alkmaar v Galatasaray or Midtjylland v Real Sociedad in the last 16 – as will Tottenham.

Rangers will come up against the winners of FC Twente v Bodo/Glimt or the winners of Fenerbahce v Anderlecht.

The draw for the last 16 takes place in February.
