On Sunday, Ruben Amorim labelled this Manchester United side as “maybe the worst in the club’s history”. Tonight his players get the chance to respond when they face Rangers in the Europa League.
United have won just one of their last eight games and were wretched against Brighton at the weekend.
Their form in Europe has been slightly better and a win against Rangers would see them take a significant step towards securing a place in the round of 16.
The same can be said for Philippe Clement’s men, who are eighth, a place behind United.
Rangers are unbeaten in seven and warmed up for the trip south by beating Fraserburgh 5-0 in the Scottish Cup at the weekend.
