Dejan Kulusevski came off the bench to grab Tottenham an equaliser as Ange Postecoglou’s return to Glasgow served up a thrilling Europa League spectacle.

An open, high-tempo game saw chance after chance at both ends go untaken before in-form Rangers man Hamza Igamane drove the home side ahead.

Spurs needed to turn to Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke and the two combined with 15 minutes left, Solanke’s pass finding the Swede for a clinical low finish.

Rangers still had time to find a winner but former Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster made an incredible save to deny Cyriel Dessers.

Tottenham are now on a run of one win in eight games but both sides are well placed in the Europa League table on 11 points each.

Rangers took just 82 seconds of the second half to take the lead, captain James Tavernier playing a lovely ball to the far post where Igamane was free to cushion a left-footed shot across goal and in for his fifth goal in as many games.

The equaliser came when Solanke ran down the right and put the ball across, James Maddison wanted a penalty as he was challenged but play was waved on for Kulusevski to fire in.

Forster then came to the rescue with his wonder save – and Dessers also had a strike rueld out for offside.

Spurs have games against Hoffenheim and Elfsborg to come, while Rangers will face Manchester United and Union Saint-Gilloise.
