Cole Palmer has been named England men’s Player of the Year for 2023-24.
The Chelsea forward topped the list for the award ahead of Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka, who finished second and third respectively.
Palmer, 22, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2023-24, making his England debut in November 2023 in a 2-0 win over Malta.
He now has nine England caps and has scored two goals, the second of which coming in the Euro 2024 final which ultimately ended with a 2-1 defeat to Spain.
The Manchester City academy graduate made five appearances as a substitute during the tournament in Germany, providing a crucial assist for Ollie Watkins’ 90th-minute winner in the semi-final against the Netherlands.
The youngster also scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Blues since joining from Manchester City and has netted a further six this season.
Palmer’s stunning debut campaign at Stamford Bridge saw him named PFA Young Player of the Year in August.

Palmer joins illustrious list of winners
After scooping up another accolade, Palmer joins an illustrious lists of former winners, many of whom went on to become legends of English football.
Palmer is the first Chelsea player to win the award since Ashley Cole in 2010, with Frank Lampard also winning it while in West London.
Other winners include Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham, with current Three Lions team-mate Saka finishing top for two years running prior to Palmer’s victory.
