Scotland have found the going tough in Nations League A with one point from their first four matches.

A home win against Croatia tonight will help boost morale and also breathe life into their hopes of avoiding relegation from the top-flight, as well as enhance their chances of a pot one spot for World Cup qualifying.

The latter scenario is a long shot with Steve Clarke’s men requiring a two-goal win tonight and in Poland on Monday.

Scotland have won once in their last 16 games.

Scotland Team News

Middlesbrough striker Tommy Conway makes his first international start in an XI that also includes Scott McTominay, who will be expected to push forward.

The big surprise is John McGinn is on the bench.

Conway for the injured Che Adams is the only change to the side that drew 0-0 with Portugal last month.

Scotland: Gordon, Ralston, Hanley, Souttar, Robertson, Gilmour, McLean, Christie, Doak, McTominay, Conway

Croatia Team News

Zlatko Dalic makes five changes to the team that drew 3-3 with Poland.

Josko Gvardiol, Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic all start in a strong looking line-up.

Croatia: Kotarski, Jakic, Sutalo, Caleta-Car, Gvardiol, Kovacic, Modric, L Sucic, P Sucic, Baturina, Kramaric
