Barcelona have made another attempt to re-register players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The Catalan giants announced they had submitted applications for Olmo and Victor to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) just hours before the midnight registration deadline.
Barcelona also denied claims of requesting any delay from governing bodies for their registrations.
In a short statement, the club said: “Barcelona informs that it has applied for a new licence for the players Daniel Olmo and Pau Victor to the RFEF.
“The club would like to deny having requested or receiving any moratorium to any governing body for these inscriptions.”

On Monday, Barcelona lost a second appeal to register the players for the remainder of the season with the club unable to meet La Liga’s wage cap.
Should the 27-time league winners fail in their latest attempt, Olmo and Victor will be free agents after the deadline.
They could, however, meet the economic requirements to sign both players before the transfer window closes in February, but, according to the Rfef rules, a player cannot be signed by the same club twice in the same season.
Olmo, who featured prominently for Spain during their Euro 2024 triumph in the summer, has a clause in his contract allowing him to depart should the club fail to register him.
Barcelona signed the 26-year-old attacking midfielder in August from RB Leipzig for around £45m, but he was registered for only the first half of the season.
The club was able to register both Olmo and Victor initially because of long-term injuries to first-team players allowing Barcelona, as per La Liga rules, to temporarily use up to 80% of a player’s salary on an alternative in the event of injury.
However, due to delays in his La Liga registration caused by Barcelona’s ongoing financial struggles, Olmo missed the opening two matches of the campaign.
The current situation with Olmo and Victor is another chapter in the club’s ongoing financial saga as they continue to fall foul of La Liga’s financial rules.
Leading Catalonian newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claim the club have already explored other routes to raise revenue that would boost their hopes of being able to re-register the players, which include selling VIP seats in the revamped Camp Nou stadium.
