Real Madrid went within a point of Barcelona at the top of LaLiga with a 3-2 victory over Alaves.
Lucas Vazquez, Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo were on target for Los Blancos in the first half before two late goals gave the away side a glimmer of hope of a shock comeback.
It looked like being a long night for Alaves when Vazquez put the hosts up inside a minute after being teed up by Vinicus Junior.
Jude Bellingham was heavily involved in Real’s second in the 40th minute, as the England midfielder played a smart one-two with Mbappe before the Frenchman drove into the box to finish the chance off.

Madrid were in cruise control when Rodrygo added a third after the break, with Rodrygo slotting a cool shot home from a tight angle.
Alaves looked dead and buried before two goals out of nowhere by Carlos Benavidez and Kike Garcia put them within a goal of the favourites, but Real held on to secure their fifth win in seven league games this season.
