Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been captured back in training in 2025 following a horror challenge from Wilfried Singo in December.

The Italian goalkeeper was left needing several stitches after the Monaco forward’s boot clashed with his face, tearing it open and leaving a horrific-looking injury.

After making an initial save from the Ivory Coast international, his forward momentum carried him forward and into the path of Singo.

Following the incident, the 24-year-old has suffered racial abuse after the referee failed to send him off for the challenge, despite him being on a second yellow card.

10 staples were required to close the cuts, but Donnarumma is looking in good spirits in 2025.

He was videoed by the club’s official social media page in his kit heading out onto the training pitch as PSG prepare to face Monaco again on Sunday.

As well as this, Donnarumma filmed an advert for Qatar Airways, the club’s sponsor.

In the video, he was asked about his injury, to which he replied: “I’m good, I recover very well.”

There is still a visible marking on the goalkeeper’s face from the challenge, but it looks to have healed well.

Luckily for the 25-year-old, it was the last game before France’s winter break.

It means he has not missed a game since being substituted off against PSG’s rivals.

A win against Monaco on Sunday in the Trophee des Champions final would be the icing on the cake for his return.
