Amad Diallo has said he wants Manchester United to “make our supporters proud again” after signing a contract extension until 2030.
Ivory Coast international Diallo, whose previous deal ran until June, has produced six goals and seven assists in 28 appearances in 2024/25 but conceded that the season has been “difficult for everyone” at the underachieving club.
“I fully believe we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special,” said the 22-year-old, whose side are closer to the relegation zone than the top eight following a run of one win in seven league matches.
“I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again. I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come.”

Diallo United stats
Diallo joined United for £19 million from Italian club Atalanta in January 2021 and spent the second half of the following season on loan with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
Championship club Sunderland borrowed Diallo, who can also play as a central midfielder or wing-back, for the entirety of 2023/24 before he made his breakthrough at Old Trafford last season.
Arguably the most memorable moment of his career so far came at Manchester City on December 15, when he struck a 90th-minute winner in a 2-1 comeback win after Bruno Fernandes’ 88th-minute equaliser, adding to his total of nine goals in 50 United appearances.
Fernandes is Diallo’s only team-mate who can match his tally of six Premier League assists this season, with no other players in the squad setting up more than one league goal.
The Portugal captain and forward Marcus Rashford both have one more goal than the three scored by Diallo in the league campaign.

Diallo: ‘Immense potential’
“I am really proud to have signed this new contract,” said Diallo. “I have learnt so much since arriving here four years ago; I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me to develop, and to the fans for driving me forward every day.”
United technical director Jason Wilcox – a former Premier League winner as a winger – said Diallo’s “quality on the ball, versatility and determination” made him a “key part” of new manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.
“The best years of his career are ahead of him,” added Wilcox. “We all look forward to helping Amad to reach his immense potential and achieve success at the club in the coming seasons.”
