Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has returned to training and could be fit for the Champions League tie with Real Madrid.

Saka posted a picture of himself on Instagram which simply read: “Hello again,” as he gave a thumbs-up while wearing full training kit at the club’s London Colney base.

Saka has not played since sustaining a serious hamstring during the 5-1 win at Crystal Palace in December that required surgery.

He has gradually increased his fitness levels and is believed to have been a full participant in training today.

Could Saka be involved against Fulham?

Arsenal don’t play this weekend after exiting the FA Cup with their next game coming next Tuesday when they host Fulham at the Emirates.

Saka may be involved against the Cottagers but it seems likely boss Mikel Arteta will ease him back in gradually in the hope he will be able to start when Arsenal play Madrid in the first leg of their quarter-final on April 8.

The return is at the Santiago Bernabeu on April 16.

Saka’s return would be a huge boost for Arsenal, who have been lacking attacking options with Saka joined on the sidelines by Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.

Jesus and Havertz will not play again this season, prompting Arteta to play midfielder Mikel Merino as an emergency number nine in recent weeks.
