Substitute Darwin Nunez scored twice in stoppage time to earn Liverpool a dramatic 2-0 victory at Brentford.
The Premier League leaders looked to be heading for a third successive Premier League draw after failing to find a way through the Bees despite having more than 30 efforts on goal.
But the Uruguayan came off the bench to score in the first and third minute of time added on to send the away end into raptures and stretch their lead at the top to seven points.

Brentford vs Liverpool
Brentford were inches away from taking a surprise early lead when Bryan Mbeumo’s cross somehow evaded Mikkel Damsgaard after a touch off Yoane Wissa on its way through.
The Reds eventually found their footing in the first half and continued to probe at Brentford’s defence. Luis Diaz probably should have done better after heading over inside the box when he had more time than he thought.
Dominik Szoboszlai went the closest for the Reds in the 35th minute when his trademark long-range strike bounced off the top of the crossbar.
A slick move forward in a strong end to the half by the Reds was not far off ending in a goal as Cody Gakpo could not quite find the right finish from Mohamed Salah’s ball across.
Liverpool started the second half looking dangerous, controlling possession and testing the hosts who managed to hold firm as Liverpool peppered the goal with efforts.
The Bees remained a threat on the break as ever with Mbeumo missing a a few good chances, before he Wissa stung the palms of Alisson with a shot from a tight angle.
Moments later, Trent Alexander-Arnold was inches away from breaking the deadlock but his long-range strike bounced the wrong side of the post as the game entered the final five minutes.
Nunez stuns Bees with late double
Just when the game looked to be ending for an entertaining, if goalless, draw, up stepped substitute Nunez to make himself the hero in stoppage time.
The Uruguayan was in the perfect position to slot Salah’s cross home to spark jubilation in the away end at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Supporters were still celebrating that goal when Nunez was on hand to finish off another Salah ball to secure the victory.
