Crystal Palace have activated the option in Jean-Philippe Mateta’s contract to keep him at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2027.
The 27-year-old French forward was set to enter the final 18 months of his deal in January, with his previous contract due to expire in June 2026.
However, BBC Sport say that Palace have acted to secure his services for an additional year and a half.
The club has not yet made an official announcement regarding the extension.
Discussions about a new deal for Mateta had been ongoing in recent months, driven by his impressive performances in front of goal.
Since manager Oliver Glasner took over at Crystal Palace, Mateta has thrived, becoming a vital figure in the team’s attack and keeping Eddie Nketiah on the bench.

Last season, he delivered an incredible run of form, scoring 11 goals in the final 10 matches to help Palace achieve a 10th-place finish in the Premier League.
Following that, Mateta represented France at the Olympics, netting five goals and contributing to the national team’s silver medal-winning campaign.
Mateta has openly expressed his aspirations to compete in European football and dreams of representing France at the 2026 World Cup.
So far this term, he has scored seven goals and provided two assists across 21 appearances in all competitions.
Despite his individual success, the Eagles currently find themselves 16th in the Premier League standings but Crystal Palace will look to climb the table when they face Bournemouth away on Boxing Day.
