Everton manager David Moyes says he is not thinking about being safe from relegation danger just yet – despite his impressive start to life back in the Goodison Park hot seat.
Everton are seven games unbeaten under Moyes and go into the weekend trip to Wolves 10 points ahead of the hosts, and 15 ahead of 18th-placed Ipswich.
It would seeminly take an unthinkable swing in form to put the Toffees back in relegation strife but Moyes is taking it easy.
He said: “We have to always work on what could happen but I think at the moment we are trying to see if we can get a little bit better in every game and play a bit better and do better things.
“The players have done a remarkable job in the last five to six weeks but I’m not thinking we’re safe, that’s for sure. We have to keep getting points.
“Goodison at the moment is special but I have to say that we’ve been away to Brighton, Crystal Palace and Brentford and the players have done a really good job. We have to try and keep it going, keep improving and making progress.”
The return of Moyes has been a spectacular success for Everton this season, but the former Manchester United manager is not a fan of the kick-off time on Saturday.
It will be a late return home from the west midlands, with an 8pm kick-off at Molineux.

Moyes said: “I’m normally a bottle of red wine down by that time on a Saturday!
“If you’re a traditionalist then you probably don’t see 8PM on a Saturday night as a good kick-off time but it’s the way it’s going and I think football clubs are signing up to it due to the money that is coming in from the broadcasters.
“We have to go with it even if it will ruin some people’s Saturday night out.”
Everton remain without attackers Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye so in-form Beto will again shoulder the responsibility of scoring goals.
