David Moyes take charge of Everton for the first time in his second spell at the club when The Toffees host an Aston Villa side 15 points above them in the Premier League table on Wednesday.
At his first press conference on Monday, Moyes spoke of his desire to add “elite” signings to his squad and said he has challenged striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin to immediately start adding to his underwhelming return of two goals this season.
Villa manager Unai Emery made a signing of his own a day before attempting to move level on points with Manchester City, paying £19 million plus £2.5m in add-ons to Borussia Dortmund for Netherlands winger Donyell Malen.
