Graham Potter may be the favourite to take over at Premier League side West Ham but the former Chelsea and Brighton manager does have a new role in football.

Potter, 49, has been out of the game since leaving his role at Stamford Bridge in April 2023.

He has reportedly been asked to replace Julen Lopetegui at the Hammers but did announce a new, different role on Tuesday morning.

Potter has become a course co-director for the certificate in football psychology run by the Professional Footballers Association.

The course helps students develop leadership skills and is a specialised course for coaches and managers.

“Education helped me become a better person and a better player,” Potter said.

“It’s very exciting that the PFA are doing this and providing opportunities to improve, I am happy to support this. It is an investment in the now and the future. My degree was a foundation for me in my career in management.”

Potter made his name as a coach with Swedish side Ostersund before spells with Swansea, Brighton and Chelsea.
