Manchester United travel to Ipswich for Ruben Amorim’s debut in the Red Devils dugout.

There has been plenty of talk around the former Sporting manager, but now it is time to put words into action on the pitch.

The Tractor Boys always make it tough at Portman Road and will be spurred on by their recent victory over Tottenham before the international break.

But on their day, Man Utd have the quality to challenge any team in the Premier League.

Ipswich line-up

The hosts have gone with a tried-and-tested line-up for this match.

Arijanet Muric remains in goal, with Leif David, Cameron Burgess, Dara O’Shea and Axel Tuanzebe making up the backline.

Captain Sam Morsy partners Jens-Lys Cajuste in a midfield pivot.

Sammie Szmodics, Omari Hutchinson and Wes Burns will play as an attacking three.

And Liam Delap will be looking to continue his fine form up front.

Manchester United line-up

So here it is, Amorim’s first starting XI after taking over from Erik ten Hag.

Andre Onana retains his place in goal, with a back four of Diogo Dalot, Matthijs de Ligt, Jonny Evans and Noussair Mazraoui.

Christian Eriksen and Casemiro will form a pivot in midfield, as they had been doing under their previous manager.

Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho occupy the wings with Bruno Fernandes in an attacking midfield role.

And Marcus Rashford gets the nod ahead of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
