Leicester City have made changes to their coaching staff as their battle against relegation ramps up heading into the final months of the season.
Currently positioned 19th in the Premier League and trailing by five points from safety, the Foxes took action after a crushing 4-0 defeat to Brentford on Friday night.
With rivals West Ham and Wolves securing crucial victories against Arsenal and Bournemouth respectively, Leicester’s situation has worsened, prompting the club to make staffing changes.
As part of these changes, two members of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s backroom team – first-team coach Ben Dawson and goalkeeping coach Danny Alcock – have departed.
In an official statement released earlier today, the club confirmed their departure: “Leicester City has today parted company with First Team Coaches Ben Dawson and Danny Alcock.
“Both Ben and Danny joined the Club at the start of the 2024-25 season, serving under both Steve Cooper and Ruud van Nistelrooy, while also overseeing a brief spell in interim charge of the First Team squad.

“We place on record our thanks to Ben and Danny for their contribution and service and wish them both well in the next steps of their respective careers.”
Van Nistelrooy took charge of Leicester in late November following the dismissal of Steve Cooper.
Since then, things have arguably gotten worse as the Foxes barrel towards relegation.
Van Nistelrooy must find results soon or he may be the next to depart just a few months into the job.
