Mohamed Salah grabbed a late equaliser as Liverpool maintained their Premier League title push with a 2-2 draw at fellow hopefuls Arsenal.

The Egypt star slotted home Darwin Nunez’s cross with nine minutes remaining to keep Liverpool in the hunt, a point behind Manchester City.

Arsenal are a further four points back after twice failing to hold on to the lead.

Bukayo Saka put the hosts after nine minutes with a lovely goal, coming in off the right before skipping past Andy Robertson and firing high into the net.

Virgil van Dijk nodded home the equaliser nine minutes later but Arsenal went back in front via another set-piece, Mikel Merino nodding in Declan Rice’s excellent free-kick just before half-time.

Arsenal lost key defender Gabriel to injury nine minutes after the restart but it looked as though they would hold on until Salah’s late strike.
