Aston Villa’s progress under Unai Emery has been remarkable but they have suffered a blip in form ahead of Crystal Palace’s visit to Villa Park.
Emery’s side have not won in five games in all competitions, suffering their first Champions League loss of the season, exiting the EFL Cup (at home to Palace) and sliding to ninth in the Premier League.
They will fancy their chances of ending that run against a Palace side that have underwhelmed this season.
Palace are 18th, inside the relegation zone, but will gain confidence from that cup win against Villa last month.
