Manchester City have the chance to reassert their claims for a Champions League place for next season when they host Brighton this afternoon.

Pep Guardiola’s side lost 1-0 at Nottingham Forest last weekend and go into the game in fifth, two places and one point above the Seagulls.

Brighton are in great form with Fabian Hurzeler dismissing any talk of him losing his job with a run of four successive Premier League wins and FA Cup successes over Chelsea and Newcastle.

With City still missing a host of first-choice defenders, Brighton will travel north in confident mood.
