Manchester City will hope for some festive cheer when they host Everton this lunchtime.
Pep Guardiola’s men have slipped to seventh in the Premier League after a run of one win in 12 games in all competitions – an unthinkable sequence of results given their dominance over recent seasons.
They are unlikely to find Everton in a charitable mood, though. Sean Dyche’s side have kept a clean sheet in seven of their last 10 games, including back-to-back goalless draws with Arsenal and Chelsea.
